My beloved mother passed away in April of 2016 and she had a great passion for quilting along with all of her other many talents! My daughter asked me to make a quilt for my granddaughter and really how could I say no. The stipulation was that it had to be made like grandma did. My mother never machine quilted her quilts but hand tied them with bits of yarn! I had never thought about quilting in the least and in fact when researching it I started a new board over at Pinterest, named “Quilting…am i CRAZY!” I thought I better start with something simple and found paper piecing and I was not only hooked on quilting but love love love paper piecing!! My beautiful granddaughter will be 6 years old soon!
